A seasoned expert in Law, Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Artificial Intelligence, Ms. Jhungeer joins the Alliance with a distinguished record of leadership in high-impact roles across public and private sectors.
A qualified Barrister-at-Law from Lincoln’s Inn, London, Ms. Jhungeer brings deep regulatory acumen and board-level oversight experience. She has held prominent leadership roles in national institutions and global organizations including:

Currently based in the UAE, Ms. Jhungeer is the Founder and CEO of Genesis Consultancy, a firm specializing in Governance, AI Risk, Regulatory Compliance, and Digital Transformation. Her work bridges traditional legal frameworks with modern digital governance, enabling industries to adapt responsibly to emerging technologies.
Her appointment comes at a pivotal time as GAFAI accelerates its mission to build a secure, ethical, and inclusive ecosystem for artificial intelligence adoption worldwide. In her role, she will lead the development of legal and compliance frameworks that support cross-border AI governance, digital trust, and responsible innovation.
